This is the go-to spot for all my most-requested kitchen appliances, tools, and non toxic kitchen utensils. As a dietitian, I stay up to date on the research and have been blown away by how common hormone disruptors are in everyday kitchen items. That’s what inspired me to start overhauling my own kitchen. These are the pieces I use every day, get asked about often, and truly trust. They make cooking easier, more enjoyable, and help you feel confident in the kitchen.

My Non-Toxic Kitchen Non-negotiables:
These are the guiding principles I follow when choosing anything for my kitchen. If something doesn’t tick these boxes, it doesn’t make the cut.
- As non-toxic as possible
I want materials that don’t leach harmful chemicals into food. So I prefer things like stainless steel, glass, ceramic, and food-safe silicone over plastics with questionable coatings. - Durability
I want pieces that will last. If something is going to survive years (or even decades) of use, I’m okay paying a premium for it. - Beautiful
I’m not into fancy jewelry or designer bags. Instead, I treat myself with kitchen tools that bring joy every single day, things I use, see, and love, not items that sit untouched in a wardrobe. - Functional
Everything in my kitchen has to earn its place. The right tools can truly make or break a recipe, no matter how skilled you are as a cook or baker. A poorly made pan can burn food, a dull knife can make prep a nightmare, and a bad blender can ruin a smoothie. I want pieces that make cooking easier, save time, improve results, and help healthy meals come together effortlessly. If it doesn’t serve a real purpose, it doesn’t make the cut.

Non-Toxic Cookware
Le Creuset Enameled Cast Iron Signature Braiser: I have this in the 3.5 qt size in the color meringue. It's expensive but its something that is extremely durable and should last you for many years to come.
Our Place Always Pan: This is a non-stick pan, perfect for eggs. I have this in the color steam and I love it not just for its functionality but how pretty it looks when I serve up a dish in it.
Our Place Perfect Pot - This is the 5.5Qt size that I like to use for soups or big pot of chilli.
Our Place Perfect Pot Mini - This is the smaller size. I use it making stove top oatmeal, boiling eggs and making quinoa.
Non-Toxic Bakeware
8x8 Inch Square Cake Pan - This pan bakes quickly and evenly, withstands heat up to 525°F, and features a nonstick coating that’s free from harmful chemicals, including PFOA.
Aluminium Loaf Pan - perfect for baking my Irish Brown Bread or Guinness Bread
9 inch Springform Pan with Removable Base - perfect for cheesecake recipes like my classic no bake baileys cheesecake recipe.
Sheet Pans/Baking Sheets
I recommend natural Aluminum. This finish heats evenly and is highly durable (should last years). Its also easy to clean and does not warp or rust.
- Half Sheet Pan - I have the USA Bakeware brand and the quality is excellent. A half sheet pan is 18" L x 13" W.
- Another Half Sheet Pan with a 1" Rim - essential for anything juicy or batter. I use this frequently for sheet pan pancakes.
Cookie Baking Tools
Silicon Baking Mat - My FAVORITE cookie baking tool. They prevent cookies from spreading too much and promote even browning. They’re reusable, dishwasher safe, and great for roasting veggies, meats, fish, potatoes, etc.
OXO Medium Cookie Scoop - the medium size is 1.5 tablespoons and perfect for most cookies.
Non-Toxic Meal Prep & Storage Containers
17oz (483mls) Overnight Oats Airtight Glass Jars with Bamboo Lids & Spoons: These are the perfect size for my breakfast pots.
32oz Square Glass Food Containers with Acacia Lids: These are very pretty to look at so I use them for storing items that are visible on my kitchen counters e.g., coffee beans and sugar. They are a good size for storing meal prep salads too.
Silicone Food Storage Bags: I use these instead of ziplocks for storing and marinading food. There are also these genius XL ones that I love!
Meal Prep Containers: I love these stainless steel lunch boxes. They are 8x6 inches in size or 1lite/34oz volume capacity which I find perfect for weekday lunches or storing leftovers.
Serveware That Looks Good
Large glass salad bowl - This one is just so pretty!
Kitchen Appliances
Ninja Foodi 9 in 1: One of the best kitchen items I have ever bought. I use it most often as an air-fryer, slow cooker and a pressure cooker but you can do even more things with this wonderpiece.
KitchenAid Immersion Blender: Love this for soups and sauces
Kitchen Essentials
Glass Olive Oil Sprayer: I love using a glass olive oil sprayer because it lets me coat pans or veggies lightly and evenly, without accidentally pouring way more oil than I need. Plus, it’s much more cost-effective (and eco-friendly) than buying single-use spray oils from the supermarket.
Glass or Stainless Steel Mixing Bowls - I like ones with lids.
Non-Toxic Kitchen Utensils & Tools
Stainless Steel Gadget Set - this includes a can opener, pizza cutter, garlic press, ice-cream scoop, vegetable peeler and storage organizer.
OXO Mandoline: Perfect for getting a thin slice on all kinds of veggies!
OXO Chopper: Perfect for chopping bell peppers, onions etc and making them all the same uniform size. Makes all salads 10x better in my opinion.
Non- Toxic Drinkware
Invigorated Water Filter Jug - I highly recommend investing in a quality water filter. I recommend one with granular activated carbon (GAC) or reverse osmosis (RO) technology.
Hydro Flask 40oz Tumbler with straw - This is my all time favorite drinking bottle. Its stainless steel, dishwasher safe and leak resistant.
Non-Toxic Candles
In the evening, when I’m doing my final kitchen clean-up for the day, I love to light a candle or diffuse some essential oils to help me wind down.
However, many traditional candles are made with paraffin wax, synthetic fragrance, and other chemicals that can release harmful compounds into the air when burned. That’s not something I want to be breathing in every day, especially in a space where I prepare food.
These days, I stick to non-toxic candles made with natural waxes like soy, coconut, or beeswax and scented with essential oils instead of artificial fragrances. They’re just as beautiful and fragrant, but much gentler on your health and your home environment.
The best non-toxic candles that I have found are the LuLu Soy Wax Candles and I also love my Ceramic Essential Oil Diffuser.
