Healthy Homemade Chicken shawarma bowls filled with homemade chicken, salad, hummus, and a very special yoghurt sauce. This recipe has been developed by a Registered Dietitian so you can assure that it is balanced for protein, fats and carbs.

Ingredients
Chicken
- 500 g raw chicken breast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp cardamon
- 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 lemon juiced
- 2-3 tbsp greek yoghurt
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for pan frying)
Air-Fryer Potators
- 600 g potatoes (can be sweet potatoes or white potatoes, whichever you prefer)
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp seasonings (any you like e.g. paprika or all purpose)
Salad
- 1/2 head lettuce
- 2 grated carrots
- 1 handful pickled cucumber
Homemade Yoghurt Sauce
- 150 g greek yoghurt
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1-2 tsp cumin
- dash salt & pepper
To Serve
- 40 g hummus per plate
Instructions
Chicken
- Dice the chicken breast and mix with seasonings, yogurt, lemon juice and minced garlic
- Let marinate for a minimum of 1 hour
- Pan fry with some olive oil for 4-5 mins per side.
Air Fryer Potatoes
- Finely dice the potatoes into small chunks and season with olive oil and seasonings.
- Airfry at 390F for 15-20 mins
Yoghurt Dressing
- Combine all the ingredients together in a bowl.
To Serve
- Add hummus as the base, top with the potatoes, chicken, salad, pickles, and top with the homemade yoghurt sauce
