Frequently Asked Questions
I completely understand, many people find our services after watching my videos or reading my content. While I still work with a limited number of clients, I also have a small team of highly qualified registered dietitians who share the same approach and philosophy as I do.
If youโre set on working with me directly, you can request that when you book, but please know availability is limited. If you work with another member of the team, youโll still get the same standard of care and support, as we all follow the same evidence-based, sustainable approach.
For the most part, no. You can book an online nutrition consultation directly without needing a referral.
However, in certain situations, such as when weโre supporting someone with an eating disorder, I do request a referral from your GP. This is simply to make sure weโre working as part of a wider care team and that you have the right medical support in place. It helps keep you safe, ensures nothing is missed, and allows us to provide the best possible care for your situation.
Yes, we provide meal plans as part of the service, unless they are not wanted.
Yes, this can be another option. Of course, extra guidance will be provided too.
This is completely based on preference.
Most clients do fortnightly consults. The second most frequent option is monthly consults.
Online consults are done via Practice Better (our secure practice portal) or over Zoom. This is quick and easy to set up even if you have not used it before.
Yep! The service is exactly the same whether it is online or in-person. It is just about personal preference and whatever makes the most sense for your situation.
No, you do not need to bring anything. If you have blood test results, a food diary, or anything else that would be useful, it is a bonus if you bring it. But there is nothing that is necessary for you to bring. We can discuss everything within the session.ย
Consults are typically conducted at a regular frequency until the goal is reached. Some clients, particularly athletes, are ongoing clients long term due to adjusting goals over time. Other clients only need a few consults to achieve their goals.
Yes, we communicate between sessions via messaging on the app, email, or WhatsApp. We include this as part of the service. A lot of clients also do weekly written check-ins, on top of regular consults. This communication further improves outcomes.
Response times are usually quick. Our policy is for responses to be within 24-48hrs on business days, within business hours.
Your plan will be received within 2 business days of the consult.ย
The plan will be designed specifically for you. This is part of why we are so comprehensive with our consults and communication in general. Our goal is to make the plan specifically for you and your goals/needs/preferences.ย
This is due to professional insurance regulations. At the moment, my coverage does not allow me to offer one-to-one consultations to clients based in the United States or Canada. However, we are actively working on a solution and hope to make this service available in the near future.
